If your interested in learning more about The Preceptor, Solid Interceptor, a new and innovative way to keep your Grease Removal Systems up and running. Then read our blog about how it works and what it will do for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you know how much it cost to clean out clogged sink drains in any commercial property? It is upwards of $2200.00 dollarsor more, this of course depending on the damage. If the damage is bad enough you’re looking at thousands more, not to mention the fine you will receive from the city for causing such damage.
Not only is putting food in the drain a hassle on your pocket book, it also hastens bacteria growth with-in our sewer systems along with causing sewer main blockages. FOG’s (Fats, oil and Grease) filtering through the Grease Removal System or even the old style, in ground Grease Interceptor, cling to the food particles causing your system to struggle due to the food and FOG’s that are filling up inside.
A Preceptor, Solid Interceptor is also important because it replaces your garbage disposal completely. Garbage disposals grind up food into tiny particles that are then sent down the drain into your system and eventually out into the sewer main. These food particles will also become combined together with the FOG’s causing even more damage to your systems and pipes.
There is a way to save your self the headache of washing your hard earned money down the drain. It is quite simple and cost effective. Simply buy a Preceptor, Solid Interceptor. It is a small device that sits under your sink and acts as a filter. The special design of The Preceptor allows you easy access to the filter for cleaning. As you can see in the picture this particular product is different in that it sits at an angle. There will be no struggling below the sink and no questioning on where you will place it. It can go virtually anywhere around or under the sink.
The Preceptor, Solid Interceptorhas an easy to remove stainless steel filter that features a screen scraper, a technology specific to Grease Removal Systems, Inc. Preceptor. It is a simple once a day cleaning that anyone is able to do with ease. All you need to do is remove the lid, pull out the filter and easily slide the scraper to the top of the filter releasing any food particles into the trash.
For added benefit there is an In-ground Preceptor, Solid Interceptor. This device is fully adjustable to any depth. Cleaning and removal is simple and easy to learn, featuring a re-usable, stainless steel strainer and an adjustable hook to lift it from the ground efforlessly.
The Preceptor is beneficial to anyone looking for a quicker, easier, and cheaper way to keep your place of business up to code. You will find less time spent on having your pipes cleaned, less money spent on system maintenance , all with the peace of mind in knowing your helping our enviornment and avoiding unnecessary cost of city fees.

Why remove your grease?

We all are aware of what fat, oil and grease do to our arteries. We know that eating to much of it causes health issues for everyone, so we tend to watch what we eat and limit our fat intake. However, when it comes to our plumbing we do not have such options, and fixing our clog sinks and pipes isn’t as simple as a diet change. Grease solidifies as it cools down, luckily for our bodies our average temperature is 98.6 degrees which keeps those oil, grease and fat particles liquid, allowing our body to absorb and put them to use, our drains however, change temperature going from cool to warm which constantly changes what those nasty FOG’s are doing inside our plumbing.

So what happens to grease in the drains then? It solidifies and accumulates inside our drains and pipes causing untreated wastewater to back up into homes and businesses. You know that gross smell you start to have coming from your sink? That’s right, it’s FOG; If you allow this to go on for to long you will have a very costly mess to clean up.

As you can imagine not all that messy grease sticks to the inside of drains and pipes. So where does it go? Into the sewer system. Not only will you have thousands of dollars of your own clean up to worry about but some cities charge businesses for the mess that is made in sewer pipes and spill clean-up. Other cites implement a surcharge to wastewater bills if a business exceeds
a certain discharge limit.

If the cost of cleaning up a FOG’s isn’t inspiring enough to install a Grease Removal Systems, then perhaps what it does to our environment will. FOG’s can cause public places to overflow with water contaminating the drinking water. Do you have kids, pets, how about yourself? Have you ever heard of a Public Health Hazard? This is a big one. If you think deciding to eat all those FOG’s is bad for your health, Imagine ingesting them after they have sat in our sewage system.

The fix is easy:

For homes, wipe your plate’s clean, pour excess FOG’s into a can or a sealable container, allow it to solidify and throw away. You can also take them to a local landfill, some restaurants will even take them off your hands and dispose of them for you.

Own a business? That is what we are here for. Installing a cost friendly Grease Removal System will stop all problems before they become an environmental issue, a large expense and result in problems with the City your working in.
